CHOSEN ADVERT   LANGUAGE: We know this is a film poster because it includes the title and tag-line, release date and billing block which all follow the expected codes and conventions of a film poster. The title is a straight to the point, simple eye catcher that is called '13 reasons why'. '13 reasons why' the title, gives the audience a sense of mystery towards the show because it gives the instinct that you're going to have to solve some secrets for yourself. INDUSTRIES:Selena Gomez, Universal Pictures, July Moon Productions, Kicked to the Curb Productions and Anonymous Content created this series. This series was originally conceived as a film set to be released by Universal Pictures with Selena Gomez in the lead role, the adaptation was picked up as a television series by Netflix in late 2015.AUDIENCE: This series is mainly targeted towards teenagers (13 and above). The society nowadays normally doesn't speak up about issues that teenagers go through and the series is a good way to deliver a important message to know what to do if you're ever in a deep situation. REPRESENTATION:  The way the boy and the girl in the image are presented is as if its a reflection. This suggests the storyline may contrast between the both of them. The background includes a lot of dark blue in it which gives the idea that the show is more towards the sad vibes.
