BRIEF HISTORY OF VIDEOGAMES

The first video were more pixilated then this generations view. It would normally be black and white with low graphics and a simple storyline.

2) How have videogames changed over time?
Over time video games have changed massively, since graphics are way more advanced and the games look and have storylines that are realistic.

Popular video games are most likely to be one to one shooting games, solving murder mysteries and platforming games. Most of these games are multiplayer games which allows the audience to play with their friends and be in teams. Also have an aim / end goal which gives the consumer the determination of completing a level or story The Blumber and Katz theory relates to this in a way since the audience becomes close to character and cares for them as if they know the personally - this is called social interaction.


4) What criticisms have been made towards videogames?
Criticisms that have been made towards videogames are that they're violent and give children the bad idea. Parents are becoming aware of how violent vidoegames influence children to think that what they're viewing is okay to do themselves even though it's not. This becomes a problem because as more children continue to play and persuade others to play videogames, addiction can occur - this will result in a lack of grades and may cause the child to become antisocial

Its a first shooting game which allows the player to feel as if they're in the game themselves. This makes the game popular because it's escapism and the player can be in their own world. The other pleasures of the game are the fact that you can communicate and play with your friends/ make teams - players will enjoy this since they can use group work and strive to win the game.
